Now Enrolling: Don't miss out!

Katrina Pfitzner

Professional vocal instructor, music director, and young talent expert in the Triad of North Carolina.

Being so closely drawn to music from birth, she finds it her purpose to fuel a love and appreciation of music–introduced at a young age and leading into an adult life, music creates a certain vibrancy in life. At age 3, she had already figured out the delicate melody to Beethoven’s “Für Elise” on the piano, and was singing to engaged audiences everywhere. Her life blossomed through music and has led to a career as a professional musician.

UNCSA

Ms. Pfitzner holds her Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from the UNC School of the Arts, where she studied under the award-winning guidance of Dr. Marilyn Taylor.

An expert in stage performance, Ms. Pfitzner has appeared in hundreds of performances nationwide, performing for over a decade. A dynamic performer, she has been involved in opera, musical theatre, cabaret performances, symphony works, premiere pieces, film, and open mic.

While in school, she maintained a strong role at the YMCA. Encouraging the creativity of young children introduced to music, she discovered at the YMCA, her passion was not in performing. Teaching her private studio of students developed a deep, unshakable connection to young people. Instead of heading into the life of big lights and city fame she had always planned on, she found her passion was teaching children music.

Today, she provides vocal training and vocal coaching to students all around the United States.
